Destiny Navaira

Destiny Navaira comes from a dynasty, who left their mark and a legacy in Tejano music. Daughter of singer/songwriter Raulito Navaira and niece of Emilio Navaira crowned “El Rey Del Rodeo,” Destiny has begun her own journey in the music world. She was born in San Antonio, TX and growing up influenced by Tejano music, she started singing at 4 years old, at events including family celebrations and educational festivals.

In 2010 she decided to take her interest in music more seriously and wrote her first song, “Mi Vida,, where she recorded a duet with her father, going on to be one of the charting songs in Mexico on Raulito’s first solo album “Por Mientras.

In November 2015 Destiny partnered up with her brother Rigo and formed “Remedio.”  They recorded their first album “Siempre Cantando” under the direction of her father Raul Navaira with Hacienda Records. With this album, Destiny received the award for Best New Female Vocalist, as well as Best New Group with her Brother and group “Remedio” at the 2016 Tejano Music Awards.

Destiny then looked forward to working on a solo project and joined the UNIMUSIK family out of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, and in March 2020 released her first solo album  “La Preferida.”  The album included 10 original songs accompanied by 10 music videos. Her most successful singles included, “Inolvidable” y “Entregate, Entregate.”

With the desire to spread her music further than the Texas Tejano Market, Destiny made the move to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, a city known for the love of Tejano Music. Today, Destiny has collaborated with many established artists in the Regional Mexican genre, including, Bronco, La Leyenda, and many more and has been featured in International Festivals such as SXSW.

Her persistence to make her mark in the world of Mexican Music led Destiny to record her second solo album “Dime Como Se Siente” under the production of Rudy Olivares, y los hermanos Herrera Maldonado. This album also allowed Destiny to collaborate with some of the most respected musicians in the genre such as, Aaron “La Pantera” Martinez (bajo quinto of La Firma), Adrian Gonzalez (drummer of Voz de Mando), and Jose Adan Esparza (producer and guitarist of Grupo Bronco).  “Dime Como Se Siente” earned her a Latin Grammy Nomination for “Mejor Album de Musica Tejana” in 2022.

Singer, Songwriter, and heir of strong vocal ability, Destiny as the Female Vocalist of the Year 2021 strives to reach all of her listeners of all generations, through her music and lyrics.
